Egyptian stock reached its highest level
The Egyptian stock market yesterday reached its highest level, surpassing the 9,000 strong hold, driven by the shares of the banking and real estate sectors with more that LE1.5 billion in trade volume “Cairo and Alexandria Stock Exchange (CASE) yesterday rose by 97.55 points or 1.09 per cent to close at 9,055.07 points - the highest level ever”, traders reported. They added that “Dow Jones CASE Index, which comprises 20 most liquid stocks ranked by their free-float, market capitalization, sales value and net income, rose by 1.03 per cent to reach 1,916.46 points”Meanwhile, yesterday was the first trading day after the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday in Egypt.
