Orascom Construction Industries Company (OCIC.CA) is done with the construction of 90% of its new fertilizers mill in Sokhna which will produce ammonia and urea fertilizers.
According to Al-Mal newspaper; Hassan Badrawy, manager of the investors affairs department in OCIC said it’s expected for production to start on the third quarter of the current fiscal year. OCIC owns a 30% majority stake in the Egyptian Company for Basic Industries to produce ammonia with a production capacity of 0.8 million tonnes in Sokhna in participation with KBR and The Egyptian National petroleum cooperation.
