Arab Finance: Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (MobiNil) sent a release to the CASE announcing that it has signed an agreement with the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to be granted the third generation license; according to Al Alam Elyom; MobiNil will pay the license's cost, which amounts to LE 3.34 billion, over a period of four years and on four installments.
Mobinil plans to start offering 3G services by the second quarter of 2008 after paying the first installment in April; analysts see that MobiNil's deal to pay the costs of the licenses over four years would reduce financial pressure on the company's financials. In addition to the license fees; Mobinil will also pay 2.4 % of its revenue for the duration of its licence''15 years''
