The market closed almost flat on today’s session, as profit taking transactions are still taking place especially after the announcement of TMG to sell shares in an IPO, what triggered investors to offload their positions to take part in it.
CASE 30 Index closed 0.07 % up at 9301.96 points after reaching to a high of 9381.12 points by 11:55, the market traded 164 companies at LE 1,408,464,904, out of which CASE 30 companies accounted for LE 839,384,029; where 11 companies closed up, 2 remained flat, and the remaining dipped.
Local and foreign investors remained net sellers and accounted for market shares of 75.9 %, and 6.8 % respectively, while foreign investors remained net buyers and accounted for a market share of 17.3 %.
On the winners’ list; El Ezz Steel Rebars came ahead with a 3.80 % leap to LE 62.48 on expectations that it will win of the 4 licenses offered by the government to establish a steel factory, ELSWEDY CABLES gained 3.26 % to LE 113.06, Credit Agricole Egypt advanced 1.73 % to LE 22.32, Orascom Hotels And Development closed 1.71 % up at LE 73.13, and Nile Cotton Ginning closed 0.79 % up at LE 5.10.
Housing & Development Bank plummeted 5.05 % to LE 50.06, Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals declined 2.85 % to LE 21.10, Arab Cotton Ginning shed 2.36 % to LE 9.09, Alexandria Mineral Oils Company declined 2.30 % to LE 78.57, and Medinet Nasr Housing shed 1.91 % to LE 52.34.
On the turnover list; El Ezz Steel Rebars came ahead with LE 110,014,058, Egyptian Financial Group-Hermes Holding Company followed with LE 104,954,289 and closed 0.28 % up at LE 54.19, Telecom Egypt traded LE 64,568,581, and dipped 1.67 % to LE 20.67, Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) traded LE 50,170,303 and dipped 0.25 % to LE 487.54, and ELSWEDY CABLES came fifth with LE 46,390,607.
