Orascom Telecom bids for a license in Lebanon

According to Al Alam Elyom; Naguib Sawiris, chairman of Orascom Telecom Holding (OT), announced that his company intends to bid for a mobile operator license in Lebanon competing against Etisalat and others. The Lebanese government is offering 2 licenses; companies will start submitting their bids on February 1st 2008 and technically qualified companies will be shortlisted by February 18th, 2008.
